Race Report by Danni Eyde
The first round of the D.R.C.M.U. was held the November 2 in Tinglev (southern part of Denmark), by the club TI-MO. There were 62 drivers present. We were driving by the round by round system, but we only had 3 qualification rounds with 2 results to count.

At Saturday there was practice from the morning to the evening. A lot of drivers came in the morning, but I came in the afternoon. When I arrived there was already a lot of grip in the track, and the drivers were driving really fast.

My first practice sessions went well. The track was very technical but also had a good flow. I was surprised by the good grip. For my second practice, I made a few changes, and this time the car was a lot better. I could drive a 12.96 while the fastest lap was 12.70. So I was pretty confident to the next practice. This time I focused on getting a lot of corner speed, because I really felt my car was too slow in the corners. Now I could compete with the other guys as I had a lot more times under 13 sec, and the fastest lap I could drive was 12,70, but Jonas Kaerup made a new record on 12,64. I was really happy with the performance of my car; it was so easy to drive, and really fast. At the end of the day I was getting more stable and I was the 3rd fastest driver.

Sunday morning we had 2 controlled practice heats. For the first practice I put new tires on, and the car was missing steering into corners, but it was getting better after 3 minutes, but still not perfect. So for the second practice I made the car softer in the flex. For the second practice my car was perfect, and it was going to be Jonas Kaerup, Emil Rath and me in a battle.

First Qualification heat: Jonas was best from the start, and quickly pulled ahead to get some breathing room. Emil and I were very close, fighting for the 2nd place. In all the 5 minutes we were very close, within 1 sec all through the heat, but at the end Emil won the battle with me half a second after. Jonas took the win of the first round, but his car was disqualified for being too light, so after the first round it was Emil on the 1st place, I was 2nd, And Rasmus Callesen got up on a 3rd place

Second qualification heat: Jonas was best again with me at the second place and Rasmus in the 3rd position. I was very fast in this heat and improved my time by one second.

Third qualification heat: Jonas in the front with me a few seconds after and Emil right behind me. We had a very close battle, within a half second, at the end Emil ended in front of me with just 0,3 sec.

After the qualifications the A-Final was like this
1. Jonas Kaerup
2. Emil Rath
3. Danni Eyde XRAY T2´008

Now it was time for the finals, I didn't change anything in my set-up, since the car was very good.

First final: I got a good start, and very fast I got close to Emil. I got to him fast, and stayed just behind him and put a lot of pressure on him. 4 minutes into the race Emil made a mistake and I took full advantage of my chance to pass him. I kept this position and ended 2nd after Jonas Kaerup, Emil took the 3rd place

Second final: Again I got a very good start, my car was a bit unsettled because my tires were worn, but I could still follow Emil, we had a very close battle. I was faster than Emil, but he didn´t make any mistakes, so I couldn’t pass him. 3 minutes in the race I hit a curb and rolled over, costing me a lot of time, and I couldn’t close up to Emil again. So Jonas took the 1st place and also the overall win, Emil 2nd and I came in 3rd position

Third final: Jonas Kaerup didn’t participate in the last final, when he already had the overall win. So it was going to be me and Emil in a fight for 2nd place. This time I had removed some steering from the car, so it wasn’t as jittery. I got an okay start, but hit a curb, giving Emil some space. I pushed my car as hard as possible and caught up to him. My car was a lot better this time, and a lot faster than before, but Emil didn´t make any mistakes, and the track was too narrow to pass him. We had a very close and fair battle, very exciting for the audience, but if he didn’t make a mistake, I couldn’t pass, so I just kept trying. On the last laps I didn’t have as much power left, because I had pushed the car so much, but I still managed to stay right behind him, still unable to make the clean pass, so Emil took the win in the last heat.

So the final standings were:
